When did you start practicing yoga? I began practicing yoga a little over 12 years ago (man I can’t believe it’s been that long!) Were you hooked immediately, or did it take some time for yoga to become part of your lifestyle? I didn’t realize I was hooked immediately, like most people, I started yoga to help get a handle on my life. I took my first class, struggled 98% of the time, questioned my own existence on the mat, I may have cried a little, and then savasana happened – the instructor I was lucky enough to end up in class with (Margo Pechtel Teicher) brought over some lavender essential oils and I remember thinking “wow, this is amazing…...

When did you start practicing yoga? Spring 2013 Were you hooked immediately, or did it take some time for yoga to become part of your lifestyle? Immediately, 6 days a week. How has yoga helped you overcome personal challenges or obstacles in your life? I’ve learned through the practice of Yoga that nothing is permanent. When did you start practicing yoga? My first introduction to yoga was in middle school. I loved to dance and was studying mostly ballet but started taking classes in an arts loft that introduced me to modern dance and yoga. After that I didn’t reconnect with the practice again until I was 26 when I moved to New Jersey.  Were you hooked immediately, or did it take some time for yoga to become part of your lifestyle? Once I started practicing in New Jersey in 2009, I was hooked. I was new to the area and it was a space where I felt comfortable. I attended as many classes as possible and realized quickly there was more to the practice...

A Weekend in Review: SUP the River & The Makers Festival

Typically the weekend is meant for relaxing, rejuvenating and preparing for the week ahead. Well, not so much this past weekend. Part of our “Live Limitless” mantra includes adventuring outside of our comfort zones, and last Saturday we challenged ourselves to take on not one, but TWO huge events in our community. Didn’t get a chance to stop by our booths at SUP the River or The Makers Festival? Here’s how our double header day went down.   SUP the River - Toms River, NJ The first stop on our day of festivities was SUP the River, a charity paddleboard race run by our friends at the Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce. The morning started off grey and chilly...
